Want to buy a bathrobe and don’t know where to begin? Everyone loves a thick, plush, absorbant, terry cotton bathrobe. Most bathrobes are available in a variety of colors, sizes and styles, and many fabric choices.
We know how difficult it might be to find a robe that will fit you in the style you like, since most retail stores only offer a limited amount of styles, colors and sizes. Sometimes, there is no specified size, only the words: One Size Fits All.

Why are Turkish Bathrobes Special?
There are different qualities of cotton used in bathrobes. The highest quality is called the High Grade Cotton, known for its softness. Turkish bathrobes are manufactured from the highest grade cotton with extra long fibers grown in the Aegean region.

Terry Cloth
Made of 100% natural cotton, terry cloth robes have high absorbency compared to velour cotton and can be used after shower or for loungewear.
The terry on the cotton bathrobe is a woven cotton with uncut loops. Absorbency of a terry cotton bathrobe increases as loops on the robe become longer and denser.
When choosing a bathrobe, cotton is the safest choice with its high water and perspiration absorbency after a shower or bath.
High grade cottons, like Turkish cotton, allow the greatest comfort and softness. |

Cotton Velour
Softer feeling than the terry cloth, velour robes have cut loops with velour on the outside and terry on the inside.
Velour gives the bathrobe a more luxurious feeling and is preferred mostly by hotels and spas due to its softness, however, the absorbency is less than a 100% terry cloth robe. |

Waffle
Waffle weave cotton robes are used mostly in hospitality industry or as promotional item due to their low cost and lighter weight. |

Only textile products that contain a minimum of 70% organic fibres can become certified according to GOTS.
All chemical inputs s.a. dyestuffs and auxiliaries used meet certain environmental and toxicological criteria and also the choice of accessories is limited under ecological aspects. |
Microfiber
A fairly new synthetic fabric with a size thinner than human hair, microfiber robes are light weight and very soft, giving the skin greater ability to breathe.
Microfiber bathrobes, however, do not absorb water as well as terry cotton bathrobes. |

Rayon from Bamboo
Rayon fibre from bamboo is technically more sustainable than Rayon made from other types of plants that need tons of pesticides to grow and do not have the ability to regenerate as quickly.
Rayon from Bamboo is highly water absorbent, able to take up three times its weight in water, translates to an excellent wicking ability that will pull moisture away from the skin so that it can evaporate.
Cotton is also one of the most used natural fibers in textiles to date.
The combination of Rayon from Bamboo and Cotton makes for a soft and silky product. |

Full Length
More people prefer ankle length bathrobes since they cover the entire body and absorb the maximum amount of moisture.
When measuring the length of a full length bathrobe, start from the back of the neck where the shoulders begin, down to the ankles. |

Hooded Robe
A sewn hood into the neckline of a robe keeps the head warm and helps dry wet hair.
Hooded robes are made of mostly terry cloth because of high moisture absorbency. |
Shawl Collar
A robe is called shawl when the collar closes on the neck, giving more warmth. |

Kimono Robe
Kimono style robes have no collar and are preferred in warmer climates and seasons because of the lighter weight. |
